One of the most, if not the most, significant donations to the Knox Historical Museum since its opening in 1988 was the gift made in 2006 by the Knox County Genealogical Society.

The Society, which then ceased operations, donated numerous family histories and records, genealogy and history books, equipment and publications, including its newsletter, "Knox County, Kentucky Kinfolk," which dealt with extensive family lineages, and various county and regional newsletters and magazines.

As a result, the Knox County Genealogy Center goes far beyond just a center for those of Knox County connections,  but is a strong regional family history center as well.

The table of contents for all Kinfolk newsletters, which had its first issue in December 1977 and last in May 2006, is now available online through our website. See links in "Subcategories" below to access these contents. Readers can also use our powerful search engine located at top left on our website. To order individual issues of Kinfolk, visit our website, knoxhistoricalmuseum.org, and select Support Us > Museum Store.
