KHM Oral History Collection
Currently, the Museum offers nearly 70 oral history tapes for hours of research. Click above link for audio recordings and more. Most of the audiotapes were generated by the Museum itself through a 1989-90 grant from the Kentucky Historical Society; however, a dozen or so of these tapes are from the William Sherman Oxendine Oral History Audiotape Collection. This collection, most of which is still to be converted to audiotape, contains over 40 hours of of interviews with approximately 70 interviewees. The interviews were done in the mid-1970's when Mr. Oxendine was a teacher at Union College.
Videos
The primary video collection of the KHM contains the Mitchell Newsreels shown in theaters during the 1930's and 1940's.
