The William Sherman Oxendine Memorial Library contains an ever-growing collection.
Research materials include books and published materials, manuscripts, periodicals, maps and much more.
The Museum staff is currently cataloguing this collection and plans to update this site as the process proceeds. William Sherman Oxendine was a founding member of the Museum and well-known local historian, not only for Knox County history but for Appalachian history as well.
His daughter, Dora, is an active member of the Knox Historical Museum and spent hours doing the initial cataloguing of materials.
