thumb jbgibsonSongwriter and musician J.B. Gibson, originally from Knox County, Ky., lives in Cleves, Ohio. He recently submitted this statement about himself, entitled "The Life and History of the Man and His Music":
"I was born at Bain's Branch in Knox County, Kentucky, near Barbourville. My parents were William Jennings and Allie Frances Logan Gibson. My love for music came early in life and I began playing the guitar when I was about eight years old. I loved singing and sang in school, church, and the military.

"I have been blessed to meet, play and record with some great artists. I have recorded three CD's titled Sweet Memories, I'm a Southern Boy and Christmas is Here, which included songs with my wife Paula. I have a single which I wrote and recorded entitled "Appalachian Mountains," which is included on the Knox County Historical Museum website.
"We were invited in 2014 to sing the song "Appalachian Mountains" for the General Assembly for the Commonwealth of Kentucky in Frankfort. It was an exciting time and the reception to the song was wonderful.
"I have written over sixty songs and this is the fourth year of being on the radio. We are on WYWY 950 AM in Barbourville, Kentucky, and WCNW in Fairfield/Cincinnati Area.
"I truly love my Kentucky roots and the beauty and splendor of the Appalachian Mountains."
