Important Shipping Information

Our Museum is staffed by Volunteers and our hours of operations currently are such that our Volunteer staff members are only able to check for Online Orders once per week. Typically on either Tuesday or Thursday.

This means that online orders may not be shipped for up to 10 days after your order is placedPLEASE give our Volunteer staff the time to process your order and ship it out to you.  We will do our best to ship all orders as quickly as possible.  Before you ask PayPal for a refund due to non-shipment, please send us an e-mail first to ask about your order's status.

The Knox Historical Museum is now selling the 2016 souvenir calendar. Previous sales, including those during the Daniel Boone Festival, indicate this is one of the best yet.

The Museum also released souvenir calendars for 2013, 2014 and 2015. All have been released under the guidance of the Museum's photo archivist, Mike Mills, as "the best of the best."

The 2016 calendar features 12 large, 11" x 14" glossy photos, plus two 6 3/8" x 9 3/8" photos and one 7 1/2" x 9 1/2" photo. All photos are on firm board paper and suitable for framing.

  • The Barbourville Street Car - 1919
  • Hotel Jones - 1909
  • The Dr. Thomas Walker Bicentennial Parade - 1950
  • School Parade on the Court Square - 1920
  • Southwest Court Square featuring the T.J. Pitzer Building - 1900
  • L.C. Miller Store - 1906
  • Stinking Creek Bus with Mitchell Carnes - 1950
  • Cabin at Flat Lick - 1880's
  • A.W. Hopper Building - 1907 and Gibson Building - 1909
  • Old River Bridge with new bridge being constructed in background - 1968
  • 1946 Flood in Barbourville
  • Thomas Walker Celebration on the Square - 1950

The Knox Historical Museum's 2016 Barbourville History Calendar is available for sale at the Mountain Advocate business office and at the Knox Historical Museum, the latter also offering the earlier calendars. The cost is still $10.00 each.
